Some good books for monster folklore
Hi, everyone! This is my first blog post, so sorry if it doesn't look too good. I've decided to give a list of some good books on mythological creatures.
- Yokai Attack, by Matt Alt and Hiroko Yoda
- Yurei Attack, by Matt Alt and Hiroko Yoda
- The Book of Imaginary Beings, by Jorge Luis Borges
- A Wizard's Bestiary, by Oberon Zell-Ravenheart
- Monsutā kaitai shinsho, by Kusano Takumi
I have read most of these, and they all have useful information. The Attack books give a well-researched view into Japanese folklore. Borges' book is rather ordinary, but still has some interesting information. A Wizard's Bestiary may be the best in the list. Zell-Ravenheart first gives an A-Z of monsters and mythical creatures, then spends the rest of the book going over the…
