Origins[]
The Kobalos is a creature with origins in Greek mythology, legend and folklore. It is said by some that they are the genetic predecessors of the Goblin race, and other related Goblinoids.
Appearance[]
To many, the true mien of the Kobalos is very similar in appearance to a Hobbit. Though, they bear no hair on their feet, and they range taller than Gnomes but shorter than Dwarves.
Furthermore, while some have facial features and skin tones close to those of true Goblins, it is not unlikely to encounter Kobaloi with human(oid) pigment.
The presence of hair and point of the ears (or lack thereof) also vary. For example, there can be one Goblin-looking Kobalos and one more human-looking Kobalos born to one set of parents.
Behavior[]
Kobaloi are playful and mischievous. They love to play tricks, pull pranks, and steal from others, regardless of what position in society they hold. A friend, a family member, it makes no difference--they might take certain precautions for those younger and more frail, but no one is left entirely immune to the playful and devious whims of the Kobaloi.
In fact, many Kobaloi take such activities so seriously as to even make them into informal competition, among friends and rivals.
