Origin[]

The Headless Mule is a creature with origins in Brazilian mythology, legend and folklore. The Headless Mule is a cursed woman/man for having intimacy with either a priest or priestess. The ones who curses The Headless Mule is usually an angered supernatural entity like a witch or deity etc. The first curse activates during the full moon and ends at sunrise. The curse cannot be transmitted to someone else, but it can be removed in two ways. The first way can be temporarily removed by spilling its blood with a needle or tying it to a crucifix, the person will stay human until the next full moon. The second permanent way is by removing the bridle on the head if The Headless Mule has one. If the bridle goes back on then the curse will reactivate. The Headless Mule usually gallops around parishes where it’s sin was committed. When the curse is removed the person will be nude, sweated, and smell of sulfur. To evade The Headless Mule's attack the person has to lay facing down on the ground, covering their teeth and nails along with anything that shines. Hopefully The Headless Mule won’t be able to notice the stranger's presence and trot away (probably due to its poor vision).

Appearance[]
