Origins[]

The Owenga is a creature with origins in African mythology, legend and folklore. In particular, accounts of their existence first arose the North African nation of Guinea, and among the Herero people of Namibia. These are a species of undead created when a particular sinful or immoral person (especially a wizard or sorcerer) returns from the grave.

Appearance[]

Depending on whether the Owenga was once an ordinary human or once a mage, its appearance will vary. If it was a mundane human in life, the Owenga may appear as a ghostly specter of its formerly living self. If it was a mage in life, the Owenga may look like a ghostly version of its living self, but it may also have large, hook-like hands.
