The Syren is first mentioned in Ancient Arabia. From there, word of them spread to Medieval Europe, by such renowned, well-traveled folklorists as Saint Isidore of Seville.

A syren resembles a white amphiptere (that is, a white snake with wings). It is about the size of a King Cobra. Its eyes and its underbelly may be nearly any color.

It behaves as any other reptile. It is not typically aggressive, but will attack when provoked and flee when it feels threatened. It prefers warm climates, due to being cold-blooded, it and may be charmed, if approached with the right skill.

The abilities of the syren are all based on its anatomy. It is flexible, and very fast. And though it has only typical snake senses, it has frighteningly-fast reflexes. What's more, the syren can use its wings in order to fly, and it is even faster in flight than on land. Not to mention, it produces a venom so toxic, that it kills the victim before they even feel pain from the bite.
